Jet engine noise is no longer "loud" (relatively speaking...we"ve got "fans"
today
instead of "straight" turbojet engines.....
except for some military hardware) but
"blast" (and induction forces, "vacuum"
or "pressure differential") are greater
than ever considering "fans" and relatively lower noise level...can sneak up on
you.
See the one on TV wherein a Navy carrier
ground handler gets sucked into the intake
of an A6? Engine flamed out immediately
due to the human form obstructing airflow
which caused immediate "overheat"!! They
pulled the guy out little a little worse for
wear. Wonder if they charged him for the
engine damage?! :):)
