The Suzuki engine has an oil pressure sender that looks like male 1/8" NPT.
This sender will screw into female 1/8" NPT, such as the brake pipe union on
a Bugeye and feels like it is correct. However a male 1/8" NPT, such as the
Bugeye brake light sender, will not screw into the female receptor on the
Suzuki block.

The Suzuki fitting looks like it is tapered and under close examination it
appears to be just a tiny bit smaller that 1/8" NPT.

Is there a tapered metric thread or is this just a standard metric and the
fact it appears to be tapered is just an illusion?
