My wife's 99 Malibu (4 cylinder, automatic) is acting up. It will start and run
for a second or two, then quits. If you turn the key off and then try again, it
does it again. If you just crank it without turning the key off first, it won't
fire. The dash lights don't come on either. The seatbelt light flashes as you
turn the key but doesn't stay on like normal.
It was running just fine and this just happened as she went to leave the store
to come home. Letting it sit to cool in case it was a vapor lock didn't help.
Any guesses?
