Never claimed to be an expert David.  I just wondered about ignitor's on 
electric dryers.  :-)

I've never owned an electric dryer, so I'm no help there.  All of the work 
I've done on gas dryers was accomplished by removing the back panel.  I had 
to replace the ignitor on my gas dryer after a cross country move and 15 
years later the drive belt broke.  Musta been Chinese.
