I pulled the plugs and shot WD 40 in the cylinders and let it sit while
I tended to other things. Charged the battery - Surprise, it charged !
Cleaned some wire ends, pulled the mouse nest out of the air filter,
and generally cleaned up. I jacked her up and got under with my
inch and a half box wrench and turned her over by hand . It was free.
New plugs and wires, my remote start switch and hot wire the coil,
which by the way started the fuel pump ticking....and squirted some
gas in the open carb with an old spray bottle. It didn't crank over twice
before it fired !!!!! Of course I had to keep spraying the gas to keep
it lit.
My wife checked the oil pressure gauge: 60 PSI
I did this several time when it just kept running on it's own.
The gas in the tank was not leaking out on it's way to the Zenith carb.
I checked the oil gauge for my own peace of mind. She was right,
not that I doubted my sweet wife's eyesight ( But she says I handsome )
I looked at the tailpipe right away too. No blue smoke like I
expected.
Rust, dust and mouse turds all ove the concrete pad, but no smoke of any
color.
