there has been 1 item of the spectral analisys of the color wich has been
overlooked!
it is extremly importaint to polish(rubbing compound to remove dead paint
and stains and dirt) and wax(to bring back the shine of the area you need
to read) or buff and wax the area about 12" square and as flat as possible
in order for the reader to reccomend a paint match! if you do not do
this the paint reading device will give you a paint code that matches your
dirty of flat finished car's worn finish! then if you ever clean or polish
the car you will have a very noticeable two tone car wich i'm guessing you
are trying to completly avoid if not minimise as much as possible!
john, there is no small piece that you can remove from a spridget wich is
at least 12" square and flat (the reading device needs a flat surface like
the upper trunk skin, center of door skin, possibly very rear area of the
hood, or rear front wing area on the side.).
