I'll take a look then. I do have a spare valve I can swap in. 
 
If it's dirt, I wonder how it got by the 2 fuel filters...

Yep to both! 

I would suspect DIRT first. Does not take a lot!! 

Take the bowl lid off and reverse spray/clean w/carb cleaner. 

Reinstallation is the reversal of the above????!~
