Yeah, what I just realized, is that I don't have a 1.5" heat shield lying
around. I guess if I want one, I should check out MGB shields. For the
time being, I think that I will butcher the crap spridgets one that I have
so that I can just use the top part of it for the throttle cable setup.

I also found out that the placement of the vacuum attachments ( brazed in )
obstruct putting bolts in from the rear to attach the SUs. I can use the
studs from the Cooper intake, but the only nuts I have for the back side are
nyloc, but as I type this, I realize that I can just flip them around. (
duh! ) Would nyloc hold up to the heat??? Both intake and header are
CermaKromed ( similar to jetcoat ).

The answer to the float bowl removal is to look at them from the
bottom/back. There's a bolt that goes through the carb body to the float
bowl.

I'm betting that I don't have 1.5" gaskets around. :(

My blocks seem to be aluminum. I'll use what I have since funds are low to
no. :)

Those gizmos that change the angle of the float bowls appear to be sided, in
case you ever find yourself changed them and only want to do it once. :(

Oh....I see now! Shoulda scrolled down!!!

Get a Spridget heat shield along with the
"heat shielding" poly "blocks", Bob.

The heat shield incorporates the throttle
cable set-up.

Eduardo should have same???
