Yep!  And in the Mid-South Region in the period 1960-63,  roll-bars were 
homemade with a plumber's pipe bender and a little welding.  I remember 
a "roll-bar day" one Saturday afternoon when folks showed up to build 
roll-bars in the back of Small Car Motors.  No bid deal!  Didn't wiggle 
on the car?  Race it!
