Just a quick tip for anyone who loses a ball bearing from the synchro assembly
when stripping or rebuilding a Spridget tranny. You can tear apart the garage
and comb the floor with a magnet fruitlessly for an hour or two, or go to a
bike shop and get a few 7/32 ball bearings for 20cents each. Tthey were used
in the old Campy front hubs.

And thanks Paul A. for the shifter difference info. I wondered why it took
such big throws to shift the ribcase with the original Austin shifter. I
swapped over the remote shift tower with the smoothcase and now the shifter
throws are back to normal.

The next owner of this car will be totally befuddled by the transmission. A
total hybrid between the original smoothcase and a later spridget ribcase.
