I believe BL did back in the late 70's in the Morris Marina 1300! I
suspect though that this conversion would require the Marina 1275
backplate (and maybe the crank? A+ motor?), which is difficult to find
over here.

Any Marinas sold here has the MGB B-series motor in them.

I'm wondering if anyone has adapted a late model synchro tranny to a
1275. It always seemed to me that they were a little stronger than the
ribcase and would make driving a bit easier...

I'll admit that being part of the "we tight" club also has a little to
do with this question. I have a couple of 1500 trannies and 1275 engines
to play with for the some day auto-x-er.
