Here is a strange way you could seperate Spridgets into 2 classes:
How about 1/4 elliptic cars and 1/2 elliptic? This seems like a fairer way to
divide them into to 2 classes. The 1/4 elliptic cars were the real basic
no-frills cars. No outside handles, snap down tops, side curtains (or you
could divide them into side curtain models and roll-up models). Later on as
BMC had more competition, they added on the frills and to me really changed
the character of the car. You could simply call the classes "early Spridget"
and "late Spridget", and just denote in parenthesis 1/4 elliptic and 1/2
elliptic, or side curtain and roll up window.
