Classic E-Type dream goes up in smoke
By Nigel Bunyan

For years the Jaguar E-Type had ruled the road, its sleek red form
standing out as an icon against the hum-drum offerings of modern car
manufacturers.

But then came disaster. As a prospective buyer took FVN 102J for a test
drive, the vehicle's engine compartment began to smoulder. The man at
the wheel managed to slew across the road on to a grass verge, but both
he and the classic car's owner could only watch as it burst into flames.
