Thanks, Bud!  MiniMania offers an Aluminum one for $189.95.  If I don't go
that way, I still have options to get another one made of sheet steel plate
here in town. I just discovered another plasma cutter here in town.

BTW, I am given to understand that the original is actually a casting rather
than a machined peice of steel. The cracks are between bolt holes around
the starter hole. Obviously, the plate was flexing since I also found the ring
gear and starter gear chewed up!!

For now I'll hold off on your offer...
