Just pour some NOS air over them. The color will instantly come back,
brighter than new, even. Hope you haven't EBayed that air already!

When I pulled out my original red ribbed ribbed floor and tunnel rubber
mats, I put them in a box and forgot about them. (Once upon a time,
many Sprite owners took them out because they had faded, and replaced
them with Aamco out in favor of either fresh Amco mats or carpeting.) I
would like to attempt a repair and recolor of my originals. Three
  questions:

      1. Are there any suggestions of what I might use as an underlayment
upon the old mats can be pieced together and glued?
      2. Does anyone know of source for new pieces of rubber with what I
believe were the six ribs to the inch?
      3. Are there any suggestions on what I can use to recolor the faded
mats, or recolor black rubber replacement pieces?

  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  Buster Evans
