I hear that! I installed a later Spridget 2 speed wiper motor (slow and 
slower) but I also did the intermittent wiper thing, that works great!!
Hey I go to Carlisle every year, 3 hours one way, it rains every year.
Infact, I count on it raining that weekend so I can use my top, side 
curtains, and wipers.
