Yesterday I stopped for a coffee at the local Wawa convenience store.
While leaving i see an MGB in the back parking lot with the bonnet up.
Of course I stopped and asked if anything was wrong.
He blew the oil line from the block to the Tee fitting for the gauge.
He was bummed, a large puddle of oil was under the car, and he was
trying to tape up the line.
We know electric tape isn't going to work, he knew it too but he had to
try. I told him I thought I had that hose at home and I live 2 minutes
away. I did have one, we fixed his car, added 2 qts of oil and he was on
his way.
He offered to buy the hose, I told him I got it in a $1 box at Carlisle,
so he offered to buy me a coffee. I told him I stopped here for a coffee
and I'm still drinking it.
But I did tell him that if he say any Sprites, Midgets, or an Austin A40
on the side of the road with the bonnet up, he better stop ;)
Fixed an MG, made a friend, and told him where to buy parts.
