Well, I took all the good advice from Frank and others, cleaned, oiled,
greased and generally fussed with the motor and cable and wheelbox. They
work!!! BUT, they only wipe an area about 6 inches wide at the top.
Therefore, I can't even park them down at the bottom of the screen, and that
is surely not enough cleaning space to drive safely.
There must have been a lot of this going around in the past, so I hope I get
some good answers. Remember, I am not a mechanic, so basic stuff is good.
This is an early 60's Sprite, and motor looks like Moss page 59, #145-510.
While I am at it, where do you source 8" wipers?
