Joe,
Can you see up into the bolt hole using a penlite flashlight?? When I
did mine, I found at first that the cradle bracket for the tranny was
twisted front to back. Once I pried it into place front to back, I
found it was off side to side. A pry bar between the tunnel wall and
the bracket forced it over far enough to get the pilot pin (screw
driver) into one hole which then held it for the other one. The hard
part was looking up into that hole to see where the threaded bolt hole
in the cradle was in relation to the chassis hole.
The weird part of this whole thing is that I had all this apart back
in April and put it back together without missing a lick. When it came
to installing the tranny cradle bolts, they were perfectly lined up
right from the get go!! Go Figure!!
