Those of you at the BusterCluster will remember my Navy buddy, Jim
Bauder. He and his brother took his brother's Spitefire to the Triumph
Fest where the Bauder family brought home quite a bit of gold. Jim did
not have his car there, so borrowed George Gibbons' TR-3 (in the last
issue of the Moss magazine) and took second place to Gibbons in the TR
autocross. His brother won the Spitefire autocross, won the car show's
gold medal, while he and his wife won the rally. Not bad for a
weekend. (Incidently, Jim did not even know Gibbons who overheard Jim
asking the registration desk if he could borrow someone's car. Gibbons
made the offer, and in effect won first and second with his cars!)
