A couple months ago I bought a HF 36" metal brake for making panels on
the 58 Sprite. It was cheap @ $169 and nobody else had one for sale
other than Eastwood and theirs was made by the same sum-dum-fuk at twice
the price.
Mine is *supposed* to bend up to 3/16" mild steel.
So tonight while trying to make a couple of 3/8" wide x 1/8" thick mild
USA made steel gussets for the 58 windshield inner attachment points, I
bent the 3/8" thick dung forged chinese steel brake!
My son stopped over and he couldn't believe it either.
They have a lot of stuff, all of it strictly for looks, none of it is
for use by average (american) guys. I guess THAT breed is weak so dung
forged steel holds up when they go to use it.
As for horrible fright, NEVER EVER will I buy from them.
My fault though, the brake has ONE moving part and I should have known
better.
chinese electric or chinese moving parts are a no-no.
