I saw this beast first hand when they were doing some of the proving
flights. I was leaving Frankfurt to head back to the US, when our flight
was delayed. The reason was that the A380 was landing, so they suspended
all takeoffs and landings until it landed and taxied to where it was
supposed to go. That location happened to be right behind our gate. It is
simply an enormous aircraft.
