American Spriteisms:
Bugeye = Sprite. Spridget = Sprite/Midget, Bugeye and RWA inclusive. The
correct moniker for a 1500 is Spitfidget, a different species. MGB is a
different genus.

My Torsen (type 2) feels much the same as a clutch type from full throttle
standing starts. It seems to "lock" pretty quickly. The differences, to me,
come in when cornering. Something I am learning to get used to on the Miata
is the tendency to oversteer on a trailing throttle. I'm sure the Torsen is
a factor in this but I haven't driven a Miata without the Torsen.
I, too, learn a lot from the list.
In an effort to be helpful I am quick to try and answer questions. I love a
good argument and appreciate correction.
Now, if I could just get my spell checker to change "Miata" to "MX-5" and
"Torsen LSD" to "Torsen type differential", then our friends across the pond
would better understand my posts. In future I will refer to the three
screws on each side of the Spridget rear brake drum/axle as "Pozidriv", a
lesson having been learned there.

"Anything to declare?"
"Don't go to England."
