For a LHD vehicle.  If yours is RHD, driver's side is right handed and

Yes :) Depends which side you are on,
Drivers side is Left handed and passenger side is right handed.

Well, drained the diff, and while that was trickling, I unbolted the
back plate.  Then I pulled the half shaft, and discovered the hub nut is
all f**ked up. Apparently some yahoo used a hammer and chisel instead of
a socket on it... It looks like it's got freaking shark teeth on it.

Guess I can dress it with a small die grinder so the socket will fit on
it...  But I'm gonna need a replacement probably...  Does the hub nut
come off CCW or is it reverse thread?
