I would think that most chassis applications would be fine with SS.  I
have been using them for years on motorcycle restorations with no
problems whatsoever. Moreover, I don't know of anyone (and I know
quite a few people who use them on motorcycle frames (chassii?) who
has ever had a problem with them in that application. That said, I
wouldn't want to use them for any application internal to the engine
or suspension, but what's the point there as those are places where
they won't be seen anyway.
