Dear friends:

I need some guidance/information on the fuel delivery tube that runs
from the bottom of the float chamber to the jet on the HS2 carb.

1. Is the tube "permanently" swaged to the jet assembly or does it pull
off?

2. Is it available separately or should I just buy a whole new jet
assembly with the little tube and spring?

3. Is anyone selling a tube that is more robust and less prone to
kinking than the light-colored flimsy stuff that came in my rebuild kits
a couple of years ago?

4. Is there any way to make the "brilliantly conceived"
nut-washer-ferule-rubber donut fitting into the float chamber not leak
if new parts don't seem to do the trick?

5. If #4 is a problem with one of my carbs, does it ever happen that the
seat in the bottom of the float chamber gets mis-shapen requiring the
float bowl to be replaced?

Help! Help! Mid-Ohio is coming up and I just found out I have to go
out of town to a family funeral this weekend.
