Phil,
From everything I've been able to read, observe, and even ask Terry
Horler, the male part of the door latches were painted body color, the
latch mechanism box in the door was cad plated. The bonnet locking rods
were cad plated and the support rod and "keeper" were painted semi-gloss
black.
