This exact thing happened to my MGB in college, I saw
my asshole house mate do it as you describe - trying
with all his might to close the boot with the prop rod
locked. He was trying to be funny. I tried everything
I could on a college student's $0 budget, but it needs
to be professionally re-tweaked.
If anyone wants to know how I got even with the house
