Hello,
my thinking to get the speedo to work was that is was a
transmission problem. i had heard that you could get a
screwdriver and a hammer and kinda smash the thing while still
in the car but for a proper fix, the tranny had to come out to
replace that plastic gear drive... and as long as the tranny
has to come, WHY put it back, when Paul A. lives less than an
hour away with 5 speed trannys and kits, and tools! as soon as
second gear started to "grunch"... well now there were TWO
problems with the thing... it HAD to GO!
