Subject: [Spridgets] Windscreen frame to body seal.

On my '58 sprite (9-stud windscreen) the glass looks to be in usable
shape so I went ahead and installed a new seal and bolted the frame on
the car. However, there is a 1/4 inch gap in the center and the edges
of the seal (near the pillars) are compressed, but look like they need
more compression.

So... what's the issue?

The center of the cowl doesn't look distorted.

Did someone put glass in the frame that was too small?

Did Moss sell me a seal that is incorrect? (It looks different than
the later windscreen seals)

Thanks for any help you can provide

Trevor
