OK, last year I was at the Chicago Auto Show with
200,000 or so other people and the first person I see
inside the hall is Jon "Big Rig" Bauer of Team Thicko.
Tonight I was leaving a Brewers game (compliments of
my kid's Geography teacher for his getting perfect
scores on all 30 world map tests for the year!) with
42,000 other people and I hear "It's Ronald!". None
other than Team White Trash crew member / List guy
Larry "Dr. Fine" Daniels. Weird, but cool.

It reminds me of one year when Carrie and I went to the Chicago Auto Show
and we ran into 2 separate groups of people that I knew -- this is 150 miles
from home. Then, a couple of weeks later, we went to the Milwaukee Auto
Show -- 80 miles from home -- and went to a restaurant after the show where
we ran into another group that I knew. If that wasn't bad enough, we went
to Maui early the next year for a Super Bowl party and stopped at the
airport in San Francisco for the next leg on the trip and I ran into
somebody I knew there, too.

This was shortly after Carrie and I got together and she was looking at me
like, "how in the hell do you know all these people?"

Just lucky, I guess. Very fortunate.

P.S. Brewers beat the Astros tonight 4 to 1. It was worth the trip to
Milwaukee.

P.P.S. Congratulations to Ron's kid, Bobby. He has bypassed obstacles that
would put many of us down to excel in scholastics. Great job and more power
to him. He's a great kid. His mom and dad should be, and are, proud. Well
done, Bobby!
