REMINDER!
The SVRA Mid-Ohio vintage races on June 26-29 will honor the 50th
anniversary of the Sprite (and twin-under-the-skin Midgets). All
Sprite/Midgets are
invited including variants as well as modern SCCA cars. SVRA has offered to
reduce Sprite entry fees $100 from regular fees and there will be Sprite
only-qualification and feature races in addition to participation in the
regular
SVRA groups.
Sprites will also be offered a no-cost familiarization session on Thursday
prior to start of regular on-track activities on Friday. Peter Krause,
personal racing coach, will provide a chalk talk for Sprite drivers during
lunchtime on Friday.
We will have a Sprite dinner on Friday night at which presentations for
dubious achievements will be made. Historical prevarications, representations
and fabrications will be will be among the highlights of the evening.
Competitors who also participate in the VARAC Mosport Vintage races the
preceding weekend will vote to chose the winner of the Am-Can Challenge, based
not on finishing position but on Spirit and Devotion to the marque.
