Hello ,
the drive was from Gilette Wyoming to Kelso Washington. Using the
odometer which as a demonstrated and documented error of 15%.
That includes the stops on and off the freeway for fuel. the
actual Google Maps mileage was 1169, but that doesn't cover the
detour we had to make in Seattle at about 1:00 am...
we started driving at about 6:10 am on Tuesday and arrived at the
door at 3:40 am Wendsday .. driving around 62 mph, sometimes
faster, sometimes slower, grabbing food and eating on the fly...
i'm sure people did greater distances faster in the 20th century
in these cars, that's why the disclaimer/caveat about a 21st
century record......
one i believe will stand for the duration of the century, ..i'm
certainly not going to try to reclaim if anyone else WANTS to go
for it.
BUT it is a demonstration of the reliability and durable nature
of .......
