OK.. between not minding our store properly and writing emails, I've
been working on a 63 Karmann Ghia intended for my daughter.
Just now I was replacing the brake hoses because even with new
cylinders, shoes, master, the brakes suck... even get stuck. So, I'm
under the car on my back with a MAPP torch heating the fitting so it
will come loose. BANG The hose exploded in my face like a gunshot,
and the hose end barely missed me. I'm gathering myself right now,
but hey... be careful out there. The hose had collapsed enough that
even with one end undone, it was able to store enough heat to blow
apart in the middle. Bust strength my ass...
Whew...
