Hello Chris,

Two things to look at. Jack up the front end. Either one side at
a time or with a jack under the front cross member, then try to
wiggle the tires top to bottom, and side to side. if they feel
"loose" or clank, then its front end rebuild time. .. get Bill
Gilroy (who is also in Seattle and on the list) to come have a
look if you're unsure...(did you get that Bill?) or Bill M. also
a lister, in Renton who definetely knows his stuff...)

the other thing to check is counter intuitive.. tighten up the
U-bolts holding the REAR axle to the springs. It could be that a
loose REAR end is what's causing the front end to dart at
seemingly random times, as IT hits road irregularities.....

I'm down in Kelso if one of those guys can't make it, but i'm
relatively sure they can as they are both straight-up helpful
     types...
