I do not know this Bugeye on Craigs List, but if it is in Chicago, the tin

Sounds like it is wired wrong or else the park switch is not working
correctly. I did a mess of work figuring out the wiring of the two-speed
motor a while back and it is complicated. If the park circuit and the switch
are not wired properly, it will blow fuses right and left. Not uncommon in
this world where few Spridgets do NOT have a DPO...
Looking at the connector on the wiper motor:
#1 (black) is ground
#2 (NLG) is part of the park circuit
#3 (ULG) is high speed
#4 (GK) is the +Park switch connection
#5 (RLG) is low speed
Try applying ground to #1 and +12 to #5 with nothing else connected.
Try applying ground to #1 and +12 to #3 with nothing else connected.
The motor should turn with both scenarios, the second one should make it
turn faster.
If it does not, then the motor is probably bad.
The park circuit should make perfect sense to you, since you are a Brit ;-)
Pin 4 (GK) has power whenever the ignition is in ACC or ON.
When the motor is in the Park position, the park switch grounds Pin2 (shorts
Pin1 to Pin2).
When the wipers are turned off and they are NOT in the Park position,
the Park switch connects Pin 2 to Pin4 to keep the motor running until the
Park position.
