LOL....he is another list awakener:)  I wont use anything BUT silicone.
Haven't had a problem yet and hasnt corroded the hell out of my system from
sitting like the dot3 or 4 did.  Have good pedal pressure and no leaks
either..but then again Iris only has around 400 miles on her (tongue stuck
out)

I wouldn't either but I don't think it will create leaks of the types
described.  And yes, I'd use a copper washer.
