It has been a while. I remove a stuck piston by rapping the open end on a
block of wood; momentum will move it to the open end. If the plug that is in
the top does not want to come out, leave it. Just rinse everything out with
cheap brake fluid when you're done honeing (sp.) ...bill in oregon

I am overhauling the master cylinder on my 79 Midget and having a hard time
removing the piston from the cylinder. That is where the white plastic thing
on the top, it is not coming off.
It is a dual line master cylinder.
