Is there a source for a new knob for the dimmer switch or an after market
switch?

Monty,

There should be a small (1/16"?) roll pin at the base of the knob that you
have to drive out to get the knob off. After that you should be able to
unscrew the knurled nut. There's a special spanner sold for just that nut,
but a small hammer and screwdriver should allow you to tap it round.

I have a dash that I have removed all items except the dash light dimmer. I
can't get the knob to come off.

I don't want to ruin the switch. Can anyone give me some hints on how to
remove this switch?

Thanks,

Monty Love
