I screw a brake bleeder into the MC outlet, attach a tube to the bleeder
nipple, run the tube back into the MC and just bleed it like a wheel
cylinder.. When finished, I tighten the bleed screw and leave it in place
until I re-mount the MC.

Thanks to all who replied about the brake push rod question.

I was wondering about "Bench bleeding" the Brake Master Cylinder.  I
have a
good idea of why you do that and I think how, except for the how of hooking
up tubes to the outlets to run back into the main reservoir.  Do you use
plastic tubing?  1/4in.?  Any help would be appreciated.
