Yeah, Scotch Brite is pretty good stuff and should work well on that grill.
Worth a try, Michael.

I used Scotch Brite (tm) and Mother's Mag Polish (tm) on the handlebars and
sissy bar of the old bike I bought. It worked a treat.
I just needed to keep enough polish on it, so that the pad glides smoothly,
rather than scrapes across the chrome.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use steel wool on it. There are plenty of
commercially available chrome polishes, which would probably be fine. I use
Brasso and a cotton rag/terrycloth rag for most chrome polishing. But, then
I'm not "into" polishing & waxing as much as many others.
I have a friend (Triumph club buddy) who does chrome work/plating for a
living, and he says NEVER go near any plated metal with steel wool.....which
is what most folks want to do as soon as they find a bit of surface oxidation
on chrome.

Among the parts I am sorting out is a never-installed BE grill that is
lightly corroded from sitting around for years. What is the preferred method
of polishing and sealing a modestly aged grill?
