Tim,
I seem to recall seeing water pump rebuilding instructions in the Complete 
Official Sprite/Midget manual.  To do it correctly, you really should have a 
press.  There are some clearances between the impeller and seat that must be 
gotten just right.  The seat should be smooth and free of pitting, if the 
pump is to operate at rated capacity (I used to rebuild pumps as part of my 
job, years ago).
The bearings and seals should be available at your friendly, local bearing 
supply house.  Actually, I'm surprised that no one has gotten into 
rebuilding Brit car water pumps......
