Fellow BE owner Michael Allsup from Three Dog Night sat in with him once and
said the old guy was giving him fits -- trying to make him look bad.
I also heard on the Bob and Tom show that Jimmy Buffet sat in with him once
and Paul gave him a hard time. I guess they gave Buffett a heavy guitar to
play and when Jimmy asked for a strap, Paul said not to bother as he
wouldn't be playing that long, anyhow. As I recall Paul called him
something to the effect of "somebody named Jimmy from Florida" as though he
was a nobody. He either had a big sense of humor or he could be a bit of an
ass. Don't know which.
