Cancel! It turns out there are two sets of barbs in the hazard switch. One is
a box that holds the whole thing in the consul; the other holds the switch
mechanism in the box. There is access to the barbs on the latter.
So I cleaned up the switch and squirted some WD40 and the turn signals work
fine. Except the hazard circuit didn't work. Turns out that the in-line fuse
was on the floor, but the holder was closed. What really, especially,
super-dumb mechanic would close an empty fuse holder?
