My BE has quite a few reinforced oval vent holes  around the bottom of the 
inner sill and floor pan.    The one under the door is shown in some pictures 
in Porter's Restoration Manual.  Mine also has a lot of drain holes in the 
bottom of the sill, which I have never seen before.  As far as I know, these 
holes are not included in the replacement panels, certainly not in the floor 
panels I have, although the picture in the Moss catalogue shows one on the 
floor.

I have not seen discussion of these holes.  They seem like a good idea, 
especially if we use Waxoil inside.  Were they eliminated in newer cars?  If 
so, is it because they are not a good idea or because it was cheaper?

What are the group's thoughts on adding these holes to replacement panels?
