Afrin had the same effect on me. My sinuses seemed to become "hooked"
on it, and if I stopped using it, even after the cold was gone, my
sinuses would stuff up again, until the residual wore off. I rarely
use it now, only in extreme instances, as I am aware of the "weaning
off" afterward.
