[Spridgets] Wire Wheel question?

I have a 60 Bugeye. with fairly nice front suspension pieces. I have 4 Rear
Wire Wheel axles. Can I cut 2 of the rear Axles and use the remaining hubs on
the front brake drums or does the steering geometry or bearing load prevent
this?
