I hadn't heard that. I would expect to have problems with lead loosening and
flaking. Even welded rears can crack.

IIRC, I had heard that some used to put melted lead in the gears, to lock it,
yet be removable later, with a blue wrench.

Differences in tire slip take care of the fast corners, and it can be adjusted
with tire stagger. Kind of crude, but it is inexpensive and consistent in
