hi Mike,

Kinda depends on your budget, but there's good TV's in all price ranges.
Plasma wise...
Upper end, Pioneer TV's have been generally acknowledged as having the best
picture, but run about $5000.
Middle, Panasonic rately very highly, price $1500-3000 depending on what
extra
gizmos you want on it.
lower End, Vizio rated highly for the price and I believe they are screwed
together in the US,
(mostly offshore components)
I have a 4 yr old 42in Panasonic, 720p very happy with it, no problems.
Also a 2 yr old 52in LG, sometimes looks stunning, but I see pixelation
when you get explosions and fast movement. bugs the crap outta me,
but no one else seems to care. :-( Should have bought the Panny.

As for nothing to watch...
Watched the Goodwood revival the other night, they showed a race
featuring small bore coupes from the 50's and 60's. Won by a Mini Dart,
(rebodied Mini Van, ran by the owner of SwiftTune) but there were lots of
Speedwell, Sebring, WSM, Lemans Sprites and Lenham bodied Midgets.
Speed does have some good stuff on, but only when the Nascar boys are out of
season.
