<< There is fast and there is stupid. >>

And he qualifies as both, LAD.

I like around the 1/2 of clip where you can absolutely tell that
he "rubbed a handle bar" !! 2 or 3 times on his right and 1 or 2
on his left. I woulda quit on the FIRST rub <G> !! Er, wouldn't
have even started the ride as I will admit to being chicken
UNLESS there was a couple BILLION dollars involved<G><G> !!

I used to have a 25 year old County 'bike cop' that got into a
chase in a MD 'burb of D.C. [adjacent to D.C. Line]. Shortly
into the chase Jim found himself a tad over 70mph on his H-D
and approaching BIG< BUSY intersection - 6 lanes N/S and
4 lanes E/W. Couple cars right ahead of him "hit the hooks"
and where stopped even with each other just at the
intersection. He told me around 3 hours later at the bar I ran
that he had only two [2] choices; lay the bike down and most
likely end up slamming into one of the cars or "go thru them".
Now Jim was the bike Instruction not only for his County but
50% of the D.C. cops & U.S.Park Police. He made thru the two
cars but scraped BOTH handle bar ends not only 'rubbing' the
rubber ends thru but "angling" the "tubes" ends" !!!! He was
still having [my now minor] trembling hands!! He showed me the
pics of his bike and handle bars <G> !!

Yep, he went back to work next AM and ON his bike with new
handle bar "grips" !!! Nitwad [and I DID tell hum that] !!! Jim
LOVED "bike patrol" so much that the only way he would accept
the promotion to Lt. was if he could continue to ride !!!
He retired as a Captain and was STILL riding !! That's 'love'<G>!!
